In September 2025, LIPPER K.K. participated in “Startup Elevate 2025,” a startup conference co-hosted by the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University (OIST) and Lifetime Ventures.
The event brought together startups, investors, research institutions, and corporations in the fields of deep tech and climate tech, aiming to promote technology commercialization, industry-academia collaboration, and investment opportunities. Startups working on healthcare, biomaterials, and sustainability presented their innovations, while engaging in discussions with venture capital firms and researchers from Japan and abroad to explore future partnerships.
Poster presentations will be held on the second day
LIPPER presented its theme, “Development of Natural-Color Tires Using Biomaterials,” introducing its approach to reducing environmental impact in automotive tire materials through the use of renewable, plant-derived resources. During the exhibition and networking sessions, the company exchanged insights with investors, corporations, and public-sector representatives from Japan and overseas.
Through its participation, LIPPER identified the following priority areas for future initiatives:
- Scaling up biomaterial production and building a sustainable supply chain
- Strengthening compliance with European environmental standards (LCA and microplastic-emission regulations)
- Advancing industry-academia collaboration for verification and commercialization of sustainable materials
LIPPER remains committed to “creating mobility in harmony with nature” and will continue its R&D and business activities toward realizing a more sustainable society.
